Where has the summer gone!!!!

I can’t believe the autumn season is already upon us!!!
I still don’t have a tan and still haven’t been for my summer holiday!!
The lines are out and everywhere you look you see winter coats, and the autumn colours surround us in the shops already.
Even though today I have on my gladiator sandals (a steel from TK max I love a good bargain) I am thinking about sheepskin lined ankle boots and heavy fabric satchel bags!!
The theme this season seems to be the outdoors which I have to say isn’t my forte, but I am thrilled to see that my wonderful camel coat that Mr. Right gave me is totally in!!
Anyway not the point, I am loving the fab bags that seem to be coming through this season, just take a look below at some of the wonderful things we can look forward to.

I realise that with the occasional beautiful day, and maybe (if you are lucky) a few more barbeque's to go to, it’s difficult to think about next season.
However the colours are luxurious, and the fabrics are stunning, with faux skins and soft leathers, in stylish designs.
Isn’t it nice to look forward to something that the rainy and freezing British autumn is bringing........ beautiful bags!!!!!!

To veil or not to veil....

Many brides to be, I feel, go through this exact quandary, to where a veil or to go bare headed!
In fact one of my brides told me point blank she hated veils and I couldn't pay her to get one, she has now ended up with a full length traditional veil!!

I am a great believer in veils but they do need to suit the bride and her individual style. I think they complete the ensemble and can make her feel that much more like a princess!!! It really does install a princess complex, which to be fair is the one day that this kind of mental attitude is allowed!!
My favorite kind of veil is a birdcage veil however it does take a specific type of bride to carry this off, but I love the elegant and stylish effect. With a touch of the unique and personal, like attaching it to a bejeweled comb or large flower and working it into the hair do.

If you want to wear a veil but your not sure the long traditional veil is for you, why not try a mid level shoulder length veil. These are so cute when wearing a tea length dress, or if you have mid length hair that you will be wearing down.
I love the way it circles the bride evenly and looks very girly and pretty.

One angle is to try and make a statement with your veil much like some brides do with there dress. A statement veil can set the style for the whole outfit and really finish off the wow factor Evey bride wants to achieve as she glides down the aisle.
The best way to do this is to work your hair into the design and wear at an angle,rather than right on the top of your head (not a good look even when it was in fashion!)

Of course the important thing is to try on as much as possible, you just don't know what is going to work and what isn't until you try.
Just like my bride, you may find that your preconception about veils being a pain, getting in the way, or even being too old fashioned just isn't true.
Some things are timeless, or in the veils case can move with the times also.
So next time you are dreaming about your day or trying on your dresses and the assistant asks the question so many brides sneer at, "Would you like to try a veil?".
Give it a go, you never no what might happen when you look in the mirror and see that beautiful women staring back at you.

Shoes are a great passion of mine.
When you have eaten take out the night before and feel a size bigger, or when you look in the mirror and know your hair shouldn't really look like a birds nest, you can rely on shoes!
Shoes will look good no matter what, your feet don't change size, and shoes can say whatever you want them to say!!
Siren red to show you’re in a sexy mood, or elegant and black to prove how professional you are, or just plain awesome to show off your unique style.
No matter what, your shoes will always look fab.
When buying shoes there are only three rules,

1. Always try them on, or make sure you can exchange them.
2. Try to keep to your personal budget, be that high street or label.
3. Most importantly always take home the pair that you fall in love with, just like a man!!!

Self esteem and confidence is everything when you have to get up in the morning, and conquer each day with success and efficiency.
Put on your fave shoes, and put your best foot forward, and make each step count.
